Our Vision
The Heidelberg Institute (HI) is an educational and consulting agency which would like to carry Christian values and international understanding under the consideration of a Christian image of God and man into society, politics, and the economics. The institute professes the Apostles' Creed, the Nicene Creed, the Barmen Declaration as well as the statement of faith of the German Evangelic Alliance. In the future, the Heidelberg Institute would like to impact society in large through academic research, courses and seminars which go beyond knowledge, but shape people holistically according to Arthur F. Why Heidelberg Institute?
International
We believe that international understanding is a core competence in the modern-day world that we would like to advance. The way we act might influence societies on the other side of the globe more than we think.
Consultative
"Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed" is a Bible word from Proverbs 15:22 (NIV). We see ourselves as creative problem solvers who want students to live their purpose, and our clients to move forward.
Educational
We follow Arthur F. Holmes' educational paradigms, and believe that we have to ask ourselves what our teaching will do to students instead of asking what they can do with it. Thus, the Christian worldview is a core element of our educational services.
— Arthur F. Holmes"Academic freedom is essential to the academic task."
